Who we are (and why we're doing this!)
Malcolm White and Aidan Murphy both live in County Meath, Malcolm in Trim and Aidan in Dunshaughlin. We are both qualified pilots. Malcolm is a
Commercial Pilot running a Hot Air Balloon company based out of Trim (www.balloons.ie). Aidan is both a Hot Air Balloon pilot and Helicopter pilot.
In 2010, Aidan made a huge gesture to Barretstown by purchasing a special-shape Hot Air Balloon, Mr. Clown, that will be used for events that benefit Barretstown. This balloon gained national media coverage at the 2010 Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships in September 2010 when a photograph of the balloon was published on the front page of the Irish Times.
Both Malcolm and Aidan agreed that they both needed to lose weight, and what better motivator than to see Barretstown benefit from their weight loss. Both have agreed to attempt to lose 30% of their body weight within a 6 month period and they are looking for people to sponsor this attempt by pledging a certain amount per percentage weight loss. As Aidan is about a foot taller than Malcolm, and therefore has more weight to lose, it only seemed fair to use the percentage loss as a fair measure of success. When you make your pledge, and Select "Don't Mind", the final result will be the average of the two losses, otherwise your pledge will be based on your chosen individual. The same applies to any other dieters that join our programme.

Aidan - target weight = 14st 9lbs (205lbs/93.2kg/BMI 25.0))
Malcolm - starting weight = 14st 12lbs(210lbs/95.5kg/BMI 35.7)
Malcolm - target weight = 10st 6lbs (146lbs/66.4kg/BMI 25.0)
